Chamber Corner: 145 years and still boosting economic development
By Timothy Murray
The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce held its 145th Annual Meeting last week.
Congressman James P. McGovern was our keynote speaker and heralded the collaboration among business, government, institutional and neighborhood leaders over the last 15 years as being a key factor in Worcester’s success in bringing new levels of investment to the city. The congressman also talked about opportunities under a Biden administration to advance local economic development and transportation projects. He also recognized that we all have a role to play in addressing issues of racial justice and economic opportunity.
